Stating the obvious but make sure gps / location is enabled. The device may think it is somewhere which you haven't downloaded a map. From ride profile loading to displaying any map data mine takes around 10-15 seconds, stays blank until it locates itself.

txs Jim, yes, it is able to navigate preset routes so the gps location is turned on. just no map detail shown.

Is the map zoom level perhaps way, way out to thousands of miles/kms so the map of interest is effectively an invisible dot on the screen? Admittedly it's been so long since I last set up new maps that I've forgotten what the initial view looked like.

Do you have a GPS lock? You may check that by trying to create a route on the Karoo 2 itself.

It looks like your device is not connected to GPS. I will be raising a ticket on your behalf to diagnose the problem with the support team. Please share the required SN of your Karoo 2 with us.

Thanks, Geoff. We found that the offline maps regions on your route was missing, although the GPS was active and tracking your rides. You may open the route on the Karoo 2 and tap on the Download maps button. We have also responded on your ticket. Please take the conversation forward from there.
