Navigating problems after update

I've used the Karoo 2 for navigation on gravel routes for close to 2 years. It's worked flawlessly allowing me to ride in remote areas - until 2 software releases ago. On a route I had ridden before, it rerouted me a way I new was inaccurate so I ignored it and went the correct way. I thought it was possibly a one off problem but rode the course again with the same problem happening. I assumed the was an issue with just that route but since then I've had a similar problem on every course. What seems to be happening is if the Karoo 2 can see a way to shorten the route it reroutes that direction bypassing where I want to go. I've stopped using the unit on routes I don't know because of this issue. I don't want to get lost in the remote areas where I most often ride alone. I'm planning a winter bikepacking trip to Patagonia but I've lost confidence with the unit. I've had the mistaken rerouting problem on at least 6 different courses where I know it's guiding me incorrectly. Is this something you are aware of? Can I revert my unit back to where it was 4-_ 6 weeks ago where I knew I could trust it?

  I had a similar problem, but on an asphalt road. He directed me to the gravel road because it was shorter, but completely impassable for a road bike. Something's gone wrong with Intelligent Navigation.
