elevation was out of control today

I certainly did some climbing on my ride today but not 10K.  This ended up looking like an 11K effort when it was really a bit over 4K.  I tracked this ride also on a Garmin 955 watch and the strava figures were quite similar.  This is just wrong, and not even close to reality.
