Here are the steps to access the Display Settings:
- On the Home screen, click on the "Apps" button.
- Click on the "Settings" app.
- Scroll down till you see and select "Display".
Auto Brightness:
- When Auto-Brightness is turned OFF, the display will use the value set manually on your brightness slider.
- When Auto-Brightness is turned ON, the display will adapt its brightness based on ambient lighting.
- Note: This feature is only available on the New Karoo.
Brightness Level:
- You can move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness manually.
- You can also access the Brightness slider through the Control Center.
- Note: Adjusting the brightness level with Auto Brightness ON will adjust your brightness while still adapting to ambient light.
In-Ride Appearance:
- Your Karoo will be set to Dark Mode by default.
- You have the option to change to Light Mode or set it to Auto.
All the pixels are still “On” in dark mode so there is no
significant difference in battery savings between light and dark mode.
The screen pixels draw roughly the same power and the majority of the rest
of the screen power comes from what level the backlight is set at.
Sleep Display:
- Your Karoo Display will sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity by default (when not recording a ride).
- You will be able to customise this time limit.
