We have made some improvements to the Battery Save Mode on Karoo.
Here are the steps to customise your Battery Save Mode on the Karoo:
- On the Home screen, click on the "Apps" button.
- Click on the "Settings" app.
- Scroll down and select "Battery Save".
You can configure the screen timer duration under Battery Save settings for the screen to stay awake after an event triggers your screen on. By default, the screen will stay awake for 35 seconds after an event.
You can create your own battery save experience by altering the configuration of the "Screen On Triggers":
For Lap, Navigation Cues, In-ride alerts, and Phone Notification, you can choose between 'Off' or 'On'. See the below example:
- Off: The screen will never turn on if a new lap is triggered on your Karoo.
- On: The screen will turn on if a new lap is triggered on your Karoo.
For Auto pause/resume, Climber drawer, Strava Live Segments, and On/off route, Radar senses vehicles, and Workout interval, you can choose between "Off', 'On event', or 'Duration of event". See the below example:
- Off: The screen will never turn on if a climb is detected.
- On event: The screen will turn on if a climb is detected and turn off based on your configured "Screen Off Timer".
- Duration of event: The screen will turn on if a climb is detected. It will stay on for the duration of the climb.
You can also enable the Battery save mode from
the Control Center during an ongoing ride.
Note: Holding down or long press on the battery save icon in
the Control Center will take you to Battery Save configuration menu.
