I appreciate this may sound obvious, but I'm assuming you've checked that wi-fi is turned on (via the pull down menu - swipe down from the top of the screen) on the K2?

Other than that, I'm not sure but hopefully one of the guys will be along soon to help you out.

Hi Stuart, Sorry for the trouble connecting the wifi to the Karoo 2. We see you have dropped us an email regarding the same issue and we have written back requesting some additional details to isolate the problem. Please respond back to the same email, so we can help you get this issue resolved.

Patrick - xFinity branded router is known to be causing issues - we should have a fix in the next update.

Any idea when the next update will be out? I was able to use a mobile hotspot to get my Karoo 2 set up, but that obviously isn't something one wants to do all the time. Please make sure to post a notice when the next update is ready, and perhaps email those of us who worked with you support staff to identify the cause of the issue.

Hi Stephen, The software is released every 2 weeks. The current version update was on Thursday, Feb 11th - and the next update is planned for 25th Feb. We also have a beta group to test this software ahead of the release to the general public. You will get the automatic over-the-air update and the release note will be sent via email and posted here: https://www.hammerhead.io/blogs/change-logs

hey, I got around this by updating via phone data hotspot and I was then able to connect to my Xfinity router.

I had the same issue with TP Link router. Updating done via the hotspot from my phone. The same issue. Then after 2 hours searching on the internet I found the solution. It was my Mac filter that blocked my Karoo. Now it’s works

Yes, if you have a MAC address filter active on your router then this would prevent the Karoo (and any other new wireless devices you try to connect) from being assigned an IP address.

I have the Xfinity branded gateway (modem/router) and cannot connect wifi. I do not own a hotspot so I’m dead in the water

UPDATE: was able to connect to a hotspot and download the updates, whatever was in the update fixed the connectivity issue.

I find the wifi distance range is quite limit when I stopped ridding to buy coffee at 7-11. I would say the distance is less than 5 meters, when the wifi signal is lost, it can't detect like bluetooth. To me, using live tracking is crucial but in this case, that is a shame.
