K2 Screen Turns Off While riding

For some reason my K2 screen turns off while in a ride.  I have tried the screen timeout setting and power settings and nothing helps.  How do you keep the screen on while riding?

  Try turning off battery saver. Happened to me when I first got my K2

  Can you ensure you have started the ride recording? If all the point checks out, can you share a short video of your experience?

  I'm having exactly the same problem.  I can't show a video because it happens while I'm riding.  I've shut off battery save mode and even auto pause.  Further, while it does give audible sounds before turns, the screen stays dark.

  No idea how to fix it
