Navigate to nearest point on route vs navigate to start / Circular Routes
AnsweredI just got the Karoo 2 and am looking forward to my first ride.
Going through the options, I noticed a few things that are missing:
1. When you start a new route, you are always navigated to the starting point. However, I think you should be given the choice to start at the nearest point on the route.
This is especially handy when people share routes and people join in different places.
2. For circular routes, this should also be interesting (maybe with the addition of a circular route option that lets you change the start and end point on a circular route).
3. Similarly, when you go off track on a bike route, the navigation engine sends you back to the nearest point. However I think you should also get the choice to go back to where you left the track and continue from there.

The trick is being back on the route, unfortunately even 10–20 m off the route (e.g. roadside bike path vs road proper) is enough to make the Karoo think you are not yet on the route. It shouldn’t take more than a short while (less than 30 seconds) of staying on the actual route to make the directions make sense again.
If the GSM is out of whack for some reason or the original route is somehow inaccurate, you might be out of luck, I’m afraid.
