ride not uploading on first save to Dashboard or Strava from K2

I finish a ride , the K2 connects to my home WiFi and when i check the settings - HH account, it is showing the option to sign out, so I assume I am logged in.
However when I save the ride , also selecting to Strava , there is no notification that it has been uploaded and indeed the ride isn't on the HH dashboard or Strava.
It is still on the K2
If I disconnect and reconnect to a different wifi ssid, then connect back to the original wifi , the ride will then be uploaded to both accounts.
There are no issues with the wifi or the internet, it is working correctly.
This has happened on my last 3 rides
Any thoughts?

Hi Ken, We are really sorry for the trouble caused. We are aware of this issue and the fix for this issue is expected to be released to the ATG this week. If everything goes well, it will be released to the general users in the subsequent week.
As a workaround, please perform a factory reset on your Karoo 2 under the "Settings" App and see if that alleviates the issue. The activities, Data screens, Bike Profiles, and Routes are account-specific. These details will be retained once you log in to your Hammerhead account after performing the Factory reset.

I'm also having trouble uploading to strava. a factory reset didn't help (at least it didn't help for the ride that I had already done). it did upload to the dashboard but not to strava. when i tried to sync from the karoo nothing happened. when i tried to sync from the dashboard is said FIT file error. But that same ride I could sync from the garmin i was simultaneously using.
