    Hey Saad,

Like Steve has explained, The Karoo 2 ensured to keep the Wifi turned off as soon as you start a ride, The Wifi then automatically turns back on once the ride is stopped so you can connect to an available network or hotspot to upload your ride :)

    Hi,

I'm pretty sure you don't need to disable wi-fi during rides; I think the Karoo 2 does this anyway (because it's unlikely you're going to be connected to the same wi-fi network for the duration of your ride unless you're tethered to your phone's hotspot) and automatically re-enables it when you save your ride to facilitate faster uploading to your connected services. Or, at least, that is my mental model of how it works. It's possible I'm wrong but I just let the Karoo do its thing without worrying too much about turning wi-fi on or off manually.

if I disable wifi and log off and then log back on, wifi is enabled. this is certainly not the case with my android phone, connections like wifi, mobile data etc magically turning on (and brand G). The system will override your previous selection and then only turn off the wifi if you are riding. You can disable it again after logging on, but if you simply open a profile, the system enables wifi again!  I haven't enacted automatic ride upload, I don't want wifi on.   Given one of the weak points of the karoo2 is battery life, selecting disabled should actually mean disabled. Or at least change the button description to 'temporarily suspended until you touch something'.

    regards

maybe add some functionality to the airplane mode so that when that is turned on the wifi stays in disabled mode
