Looks like it's an M3.5 with a 15mm or 16mm long thread (but it would be good if somebody else could check my measurements).

If I were replacing it, I'd be inclined to choose something with a slightly longer thread (18mm - 20mm should make it easier to get the initial bite into the threaded insert) and made from something like A2 stainless steel. The head takes a 2.5mm hex key.

    Hi Robert,

I'm sorry you have a stripped bolt! I can help with the specs - the fastening bolt on the swing arm is an M4x16.

Let us know if you have issues with replacing it - it is a common size, though. If you have further issues, please let us know at support@hammerhead.io. We will work to resolve whatever the issue is.

    Thanks!

I've had the same issue with the bolt: the hex head has rounded. I've been using a good quality 2.5mm allen key, and I am very careful - I never round off hex bolts normally! Given the £40 cost of spare mounts, I am having to swap between bikes (sure I'm not the only one to do so), so it really would be good if, for that price!, it came with a good quality bolt.

I am also having the same issue. Mount tightened onto flat handlebar (31.8 tapered). Mount felt secure but because the roads on LI are in terrible shape the mount loosened and slipped and drooped. Tried to keep in place using thick tape but the pounding from the roads again caused the mount to droop. I've tried tightening the mount to compensate and the hex head rounded and stripped. Am trying to figure out how to get the screw out without damaging the mount but not sure I'm going to be able to get the screw out.
