Thanks for your answer. I will check the order of the sensors. And I have to check the sensor with my old Garmin. I still think that that a computer like the Karoo should switch to gps when it knows that I'm moving and still shows a speed of 0.

Same thing happened for me too recently -- I thought I had escaped the worst of the sensor pairing issues by getting my Karoo 2 more recently, but it started acting up and autopausing on my last two rides.  I just replaced the battery in my speed sensor just in case, hopefully that fixes it.

That said -- 100% agree that it shouldn't be hard to implement a hierarchy for determining whether to go into autopause or not, falling back on GPS if needed.  In fact I was coming here to post this only to see you've beaten me to it!

In the sensorlist the speed sensor was above the gps. However I switched them but did not try if it worked better now. I did not replace my battery because it's a fresh one and the cadance was working fine. I'm curious if it helped Mike.

Reporting back on my battery change -- I did a couple of long rides (80 and 70 miles) where it was fine -- and then yesterday the sensor dropped out again.

It's a cheap sensor (Magene) so I don't know if the Karoo is really to blame for the drop out, but I'd definitely reiterate that, at least for purposes of determining an autopause, I would really prefer for there to be a cross check of both the sensor reading and the GPS speed so that I'm not losing a significant part of my ride not noticing.

I can confirm that my speed sensor was also above the GPS in my sensor list.
