Temporary route (POI/Route home/route to start) directional arrows

Hi there,

When I was out on my first ride with karoo 2, I wanted to route home.

This brought the temporary route in purple up, but this doesnt have directional arrows like the yellow route. Is this expected? Honestly the mini arrows help me quite a lot in unfamiliar areas.

  Hey Jack,

  This is a very insightful suggestion!

  Currently, the directional arrows are present only on the yellow route line. As we add more entities on the map it would reduce the efficiency of the navigation. It would take more effort for the Karoo to update the map screen. This would account for a higher battery drain Keeping such aspects in mind we did add the directional arrow to the main route line for the time being. 

  Based on how we progress in optimizing the software and the Karoo's performance as a whole, We would take this up as well :)

  Hi Akhil,

  Maybe to workaround additional entities on the map, if the option for routing home is selected. it is the only route present on the map anyway, Could this route not just be Yellow instead of purple?

  I have pointed out (possibly a year ago) that the inconsistency in the route colour and format needs to be worked on and fixed.  The red live when rerouting needs to have the chevrons added.  I see no reason why the on-Karoo routing is purple - it should be yellow, and it should also have the chevrons.  These are really basic things that need to be tidied up - they are known to Hammerhead and need to get on to the ‘just do it’ list.  The chevrons are a really nice feature - leverage the advantage.
