Hi Dan. Sorry to hear about your issue with the phone pairing.

I am not sure if you have the unpaired Karoo and the phone separately. I see that you have already tried to pair your phone with Karoo 2. Could you please unpair KAroo 2 on your phone, reboot your phone and try a fresh pairing again? Let me know your findings.

Also, could you please disable the battery optimization for the companion application?

Here are the articles that you can refer to for information regarding the Android phone pairing - https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360054073194-Android-Smartphone-Notifications

Hi yes followed the procedure in the article you posted and everything connected fine and I have allowed all permissions and disabled battery optimisation for the karoo app. The phone and karoo both show they are connected but no notifications. After each attempt I factory reset the karoo unpaired it from the Bluetooth menu in the phone and rebooted the phone. Still no notifications.

    Hey Dan.

Sorry for not getting back sooner.

We have been trying to look for the answer from the development team. In order to investigate further, I have created a ticket. Request you to followup there.

Hi Abhishek, I have managed to get it going.

On the phone You have to go to settings select apps, select apps again, press the 3 dots top right corner, press special access, press battery optimisation, change the menu to all apps, select the Karoo app, press don't allow, press ok . Come out of the apps menu back to settings, press battery, press app launch, then toggle the slider on the Karoo app to manage manually. And obviously the same as your instructional video, make sure permission's are enabled.

Not sure if this is only applicable to Huawei phones, but maybe worth an amendment to your instructions to include this for anybody else.

Thanks for your time and I'll put my I.T consultancy bill in the post or I'll accept the 75% discount you have offered early pre orders off the jersey your selling on the Hammerhead site😉😉
