Karoo2 wifi wont stay off

If i turn off wifi from drop down menu before i start my ride with Karoo2, when i end my ride wifi is already back on? So, basically it is automatically turned on during my activity, why is that? I want to save battery by turning off wifi during my ride but it is not working. How to disable this wifi auto on feature, or is it a bug?

  The Wifi is supposed to turn off once you start a ride, so it is disabled during the activity unless you manually turn it on from settings or control center. It is enabled automatically only when you end the ride.
