It would be really good to prevent this shifting

    Yup, very annoying...

I have a lot of public water points in there, and when I accidentally shift some, I don't know where to put them back 😅

Yes, common problem - please make POIs lockable, Hammerhead.

Another nice to have while we're on the subject would be a switchable POI overlay in the route builder - sometimes when I zoom out, the POIs end up obscuring part or all of the route.

I think the POIs should simply be be shown behind the route line instead of the other way around, see https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/19666490516635-Bug-POI-blobs-obscure-route-and-position

And yeah, I have accidentally moved a global POI a couple of times as well...

Same problem here... On a computer, being careful is easier to avoid moving the POI, but on a smartphone... it is very, very difficult, and when accidentally you move the POI, it is probable that you don't know the correct position for this. It's quite annoying 😣

The other problem that @Alex Baker comments, when zooming out, apart from hiding the POIs, for instance with a simple switch (very good point!), maybe POI's icon could be smaller, like a dot, in order to not cover the map and route, that is useless :-(

    Regards.
