Map orientation

I used to be able to touch the compass icon and have the map face North instead of the travel direction. This capability went away a few weeks ago. Can I get it back? Thanks

  Hi Michael, yes this has changed in recent times and we wish to get back this feature with better functioning. I have shared this sentiment with the team for consideration.

  I've had the Karoo a while and this functioned just fine, IMHO.

  It still works like that for me, with the change that the compass icon stays there even for north-is-up orientation. It’s just that you can no longer be sure that tapping on the icon actually worked unless you are moving and not heading approx north, requiring a close look at the screen. Really annoying and I wrote a feature request to at least change the icon to something different depending on the state right after the change was released. https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/27912393838491

  (Of course, given the choice between the icon change and a configurable default orientation, I’d pick the latter in a heartbeat...)
