Climber in free ride is ... flawed. Workarounds?
So in addition the the 3 October update killing Climber in free ride mode for me, I discovered something interesting:
Even on rides where Climber in free ride mode was "working," it wasn't showing all the climbs. I only discovered this after building a route that included a familiar route, and boy, look at all those climbs! The same ride when the Karoo was "working," showed four climbs, vs 12 when it was used as part of a route.
Anyone have a workaround? I have a ticket in with HH for the Climber business on free ride, but wondering if the community has found a solution. Thanks.

I've had Karoo 3 for several days now and it doesn't work in free mode or on the climber route. I've just never seen the directions for the climber.

Adam, have you downloaded the latest update? That fixed Climber for me, no problems since installing it.
Otherwise, I would put in a ticket. It was seven days from me submitting a ticket via Companion App to them releasing a fix, which is quite good, I think. I waited more than a month for someone from Garmin to deign to respond to my service request about the 1050. I was like, "I returned that thing weeks ago."
