Hey Thomas, I have created a ticket for you. We can discuss the issue further there.

There is nothing to discuss, we need a fix. Its software thing.

PS: yesterday I noticed, that it adds up meters to "Ascent" data field, even when going downhill. Can you please check that out as soon as possible?

there is NO fix for this...some of the later Karoo 2 units had a faulty barometric sensor which caused this subject to vibrations...only fix is a warranty replacement...my warranty replacement though had the exact same issue

It's got to the point where they might as well give us the option to completely disable any barometric adjustment and use map sourced elevation instead. GPS knows where I am, it should be a simple task to collate data based where I actually am on a map and not some wild, inaccurate pressure induced exaggeration.

For now I have to constantly use Strava's MAP SOURCED elevation correction.

@Guido Del Giudice, this used to work! That's my problem. I wouldn't say if K2 wouldn't work from the beginning. But it used to do a fine job for a 1,5 year. And now all of a sudden there is a huge difference in elevation gained compared to before. I still doubt this is a mechanical issue.

But ok, in case if it is, it would be cool, as @Jim C said, that they start to use GPS data, and turn off the barometric sensor.

Can we get some official explanation on this topic from the devs?

Hi, same problem here. When I bought the Karoo2 everything seemed to work fine but since some time I notice increased elevation discrepancies which I can perfectly compare during group rides. Just yesterday my Karoo was showing a difference of approx. 300m compared to riders with the same tour. I used the Zwift feature to equalize but would strongly expect Hammerhead to solve the issue and communicate openly and transparently.
