Lost moving map during ride

As usual, I uploaded a gpx file to my Karoo then followed the route. Halfway through the ride, I stopped for coffee. Not wanting to leave my Karoo at risk on my bike I put it in my pocket. When I came back and re-commenced the ride, the Karoo continued to track my position but it would not move the map. I was able to manually move the map but danged if I could get it to move with me as it normally does. The message in the top left continued to show "in ride" and my final distance covered showed that it had not jumped out of "in ride" status. I've had this problem before so I'd like to know what I might have done to cause it to lose moving map functionality and what I could do to get it working again. I'm aware that I could have finished the ride and re-started it but I did not want to lose the data for the ride I started in. Any help appreciated.

  My guess is when you put your Karoo in your pocket, you accidently touched the lock icon in the lower left part of the screen. This will change your map display to manual movement. You just need to touch the lock icon to return the map screen to the automatic movement.

  Thank you for this question (and subsequent answers) because I also wondered what were the actions of pushing these icons.

  I didn't have a problem but felt strange to have icon with no explanation.

  Sometimes developer think that everything is self-explanatory I presume...

  A short online manual is something I would expect to find somewhere on Hammerhead site...
