SRAM eTap battery status (shifter battery) - what does it show?
AnsweredHi guys,
I'm keen to use the eTap integration to show the status of the batteries, but there's just one field: "shifter battery". Can I ask what this displays, please?
There are four batteries in the eTap system (one for each derailleur, and one for each shifter), but there is only one data field which just shows "New", "Good", "OK", or "Low". But what is this showing the value of?
Many thanks,
Paul.

Further to above, in the sensor status page, the 'battery' field seems to show odd data.
It seems to flicker between 7.xx volts and 2.xx volts (maybe one is one of the derailleurs, and the other is the voltage of one of the shifter button cells?). Still, there's no ability to tell which battery it is referring to.
There is also a value to the right of the voltage display, which is currently showing as "74565 hours" (around 8.5 years). Can anyone confirm what that is, please?
Thanks again!
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Doug has already answered the question and I really appreciate Doug for that. The battery of the derailleur will be displayed on your Karoo. Since the derailleur batteries are identical, if one of the batteries dies on a ride, you can swap the rear with the front (which likely gets less use) to make it home. eTAP also has CR2032 coin cell batteries in the shifters, but those last years, so it is really less of a concern.
