    I found this error appears if you try and start a ride etc instantly after boot. It's as if the background service hadn't finished starting even though the boot looked complete. If you wait a bit after boot before loading a route or starting a ride the error doesn't occur. 

    If it does appear, simply re trying after 30 seconds or so clears it.
