Sensors stop working at least once per ride
AnsweredFirst, congrats to the improvements that have come in the last 3-4 months. When I first got my Karoo last summer it was effectively unusable due to lack of sensor support. I can now report that my Polar HR monitor, Garmin Varia, and 4 of the 5 models of power meters that I own work consistently (2 Quarq DZero, Pioneer Dura Ace dual sided, Rotor 2INPower; have not tried my Stages XTR at this point).
However there is one continuing problem. At some point, usually in the first 1-2 hours of a ride, I get either partial or complete sensor drop. Sometimes ANT+ sometimes Bluetooth. Sometimes all of one type stop working, other times only one. Varia is the most frequently. This happens almost every single ride, regardless of length.
Usually to resolve this I disable and re-enable both ANT+ and Bluetooth on the Sensors main page. They will not come back on their own without this step (I see another post where they do come back for that user; this is not the case for me). In addition disabling and re-enabling the particular sensor that has stopped working does not fix the problem.
On one recent 6.5 hour ride I had ANT+ go out completely at the 1 hour mark. Fortunately I was able to switch my powermeter from ANT+ to Bluetooth but it left me without Varia for the remainder of the ride.
If you need more data or I can help debug in any way please let me know. This is the last thing that really needs to be addressed to make the Karoo a training solution (OK, I'd really like a Last Lap Avg Power field and Quarq TyreWiz support as well)
Thanks!

Yes, when ANT+ died completely it was of course on a country, but no shoulder route as well. Unfortunately for the problems that I'm having shutting down the sensor, when available (like Varia), or disabling and re-enabling, doesn't fix the problem. In all but that one instance turning off bluetooth and/or ANT+ and then turning them back on fixes the issue. And then most of the time regardless of the length of the ride it doesn't happen again. So in a 6+ hour ride it usually drops between the 1-2 hour mark and then the remaining hours are fine.

Hi Brian,
The software team confirmed that we have a known issue where Radar stops reporting cars even though still "Connected" in sensors app until you unpair and repair it. They have already developed a fix for this issue and it will be released to the ATG soon. Once we get a green signal from ATG, it will be released to the general users. Thank you for your patience during this time.
