Di2 Not Pairing (ew-wu111)
AnsweredMy Di2 does not work on Karoo
I have tried it several times including
> Unpair all the sensors from the Karoo.
>Reboot Karoo
> Click ADD on the sensor App.
> Pair the Di2 sensor first.
Still no go
I have tested the EW-wu111 with my iphone today and it works I also updated it via the phone recently too.
I have had the device connected to Karoo once only a couple of months ago, while it did show in the list of connected devices it never saw the sensor aging and never worked on a ride.
My smartphone is disconnected (Bluetooth Disabled) I have disconnected all di2 connectors to reset that in case it was issue there but it just will not show up when I try to pair
As I say I have tested on the phone today and it worked on there fine.
Can you help

..so after an hour or mucking about earlier and having given up on the Di2..
I had deleted all other sensors
I want to go out on a ride and so I added my speed sensor back
I then re-enabled the karoo navigation sensor
I thought one last try and bingo Shimano sensor appeared out of nowhere - is there some symbiance with the built in GPS ?
Who knows but i'm not turning off now I am going out to test!

OK, Tested well didn't show anything on the changes count but otherwise worked fine.
So solution for me was remove all sensors disable gps
In my case I rebooted Karoo then added speed sensor and then re-enabled gps sensor (built in)
I pressed and held the button on the Shimano junction box so it flashed red and green which is promiscuous mode for bluetooth
Then when I scanned for the device on Karoo it willingly appeared almost immediately when there had been absolutely no sign at all before
NB: I did have some issues getting the ew-wu111 to connect to my iphone initially and I suspect that the Shimano ew-wu111 is perhaps not a great device.
Hope this helps others!

Shimano EW-WU111 is a very poor connection device. I'm glad you solved your problem but I'll tell you what works best for me (it's a workaround) if it's not pairing and you want to do the procedure from scratch: try to disable all the sensors and the Di2 will appear immediately. It looks like Di2 doesn't show up if Karoo is searching for other sensors.
