Hi Stephen, Sorry for not seeing this sooner. If the system reboot does not help, try a factory reset from the recovery menu. Refer here: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360003079393-Performing-a-Hard-Reset-on-your-Karoo

Thanks Ali, I have performed the Factory Reset, but the issue remains.

After the reset, I logged in and sync'd to my account.

I did not need to redownload the maps, this seemed odd. I expected the factory reset to wipe all info.

Do you think I missed a step with the factory reset?

I have added a pic of the 1st (home) screen. The top is blank, is there any button to start a ride?

I have the exact same issue.

The first time after the update I rebooted and I had an infinite number of profiles saying "Got Hills?". So I did a factory reset and now I have the exact same issue as Stephen.

At the moment I can't use my Karoo 1 at all. Can you provide some sort of solution? Do you need some log? Can we help?

If you open the "Profile" section it's empty. You can make one but then it gets erased as soon as you go to the home screen.

    Best, d.

Stephen, that's a strange screen and it should show the profiles. Did you try a reboot to see all your profiles? Do you see all your activities and routes there?

@Davide - the multiple default profiles loading up is a known issue, and we are already looking into the solution and a fix. Meanwhile, we can solve it as an individual request with the developers. Could you please share your Hammerhead account email address with us at support@hammerhead.io? This way we can forward the request to the developers to fix your account.

    Thanks!

    Hi @Ali and @Davide.

I look forward to a solution, as the Karoo 1 is not useable in current state.

(Sadly, I did not register for Karoo 2 pre-order in time) I was looking fwd to trading up, as I saw this as a great idea and opportunity offered by Hammerhead.

Update - as at Australia - 12th Nov

I had not seen an update on this........ decided to before the Factory Reset again.

This time I succeeded in getting my Profile and screens back!!

I also needed to download the Maps again, this seems to tell me that a true 'factory reset & delete' took place.

I also have my setting reset - screen timeout etc.

--> Happy that I have a unit working again, looking fwd to using on a ride again.

I have exactly the same issues as described above. First an infinite amount of 'Got Hills' profiles and very slow. After resetting the profiles section remains blank and creating a new profile doesn't work.

Tried to preform a Hard-reset, I got to the screen where you can choose between recovery/fastboot or normal. But now my Karoo is stuck in an endless boot loop. Only thing that still works is pressing "B" in order to get in the bootmenu. Other than that it is an expensive paperweight.

Hi Sjoerd, Please send in a ticket to support@hammerhead.io with an email address of your Hammerhead account so we can forward that to the developers to remove those profiles backend.

Hi Ali, ok thanks, will do that.

But right now the device is bricked. It just keeps rebooting. Only the Hammerhead logo appears (never gets to the Karoo screen), then the screen turns black and then the logo again.

Guys, I had this issue on Tuesday night when I booted my K1 up for a ride, I haven't upgraded for a while, still using the version with red route line as don't like the yellow. So I dont think its to do with the latest version.

I was at the side of the road trying to create a new profile, as my existing three had gone. I tried a reboot and they came back including the new one so 4 in total.
