    Hey Peter. That's quite surprising. We tried to reproduce the issue and we were not able to get it on the Karoo.

    It would be great if you can share the video of the issue and share with us at support@hammerhead.io.

    Generally, after the software update, the maps are downloaded once and is saved for the offline map. I am not quite sure if you have seen the download of the same map repeatedly after the update. Besides, there is a map update available. I am sure you would have updated your maps on your Karoo.

    It would be great if you can share the region that you are trying to download on your unit.

    Hi Abhishek,

    I have the same issue like Peter.

    In my case it is only related to the German maps. "Austria" once downloaded stays downloaded and will not started again. Germany is downloaded each time I restart the K2 and then go into the "offline maps" folder again. But the interesting fact is that despite it is downloaded each time again (and I can see the traffic trough my router) the storage remains the same and if I restart K2 without Wifi enabled the map is still there in offline mode. Once I then switch Wifi on and go into the "offline maps" folder then the whole German maps (Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg) are loaded again.

    Update: It is seriously a bit odd! After now downloading Bavaria, Berlin and Brandenburg (States of Germany) the whole morning... (5 times!!) It seems that finally the maps are now permanently on the internal storage of K2!... 

    If the problem happens again, I will report it...

    Hey Andi. Great to hear that your issue with the map has been sorted out. However, we are trying to look into the issue from a wider perspective. 

    It would be great if you can share the serial number of your Karoo 2 unit. You can find it under Settings > About > Status.

    Sure, now worries, I will drop you an e-mail within the next couple of minutes and also include another question regarding the capability of Routes creation in "offline-mode"...

    Thanks for your continuously efforts to make K better each day! I think there is still some great potential in the unit which isn't fully exposed by you guys yet...

    Hi Peter. I could see that you have emailed us with the links for the videos of the issues.

    I have responded to your email today with the reason and the workaround.

    Kindly try these steps:
    1. Remove the region after the download (cancel the download)
    2. Reboot your Karoo
    3. Download the map again.

    This should resolve your issue with the map download again and again. If you still see the issue persists, kindly perform the factory reset from the settings app on your Karoo.

    Could you please let us know if you are still facing the issue?
