The beginning of the recording of some of my rides are way off on the new-gen Karoo! I don't remember the K2 ever doing this..
So when I start recording from home or even from work, sometimes the GPS signal will be WAY off. The K3 today started recording my ride 2 houses down from my house - when I started recording from my garage door, and it only fixed after roughly 2.5 kms into the ride. It was recording through houses.
Here are some screenshots of that. And one recording of me leaving work of it experiencing the same issue. Do I have a faulty unit?!

Perhaps this has something to do with the long time it takes the Karoo 3 to find the GPS signal? At the moment my Karoo sometimes takes about 3-4 minutes to find the GPS signal. Strange.
As I'm not currently using a speed sensor on one of my bikes, without a GPS signal the Karoo thinks I'm still standing and goes into auto-pause, even if I'm cycling and have started recording.
Do you use a speed sensor? Maybe with a speed sensor the device is already recording but has no location for the part of this recording until it finds a GPS signal? Maybe that's the reason for the strange tracks at the beginning? Just as a theoretical consideration.
