Live Segment Issue on a Loop

When riding a loop/lap (in my case Central Park Loop in NYC) the Karoo 2 loads the segment just fine as I begin lap 1, as I complete the loop and restart the loop (beginning lap 2), it does not load the segment until I begin lap 3. It worked just fine on Garmin. 

Is there a fix to this?

  My guess is the end of the segment comes after the begining of it so that the Karoo 2 would have to display the same segment twice until the 1st one finishes.You should create a new segment with proper start and finish.

  I have the same problem and use segments for my training rather than the lap feature.. this definitely an issue and hope it gets addressed in a future update

  @anthony, I tried this and there is no overlap with start and finish

  Again, no overlap. Central Park loop is one of the most popular segments in NYC. It’s really unfortunate that it does not work properly. The Garmin does.

  Hey All,

  Thank you for posting your observations and comments on this topic! The Current Strava Live Segment implementation does not allow you to be in 2 or more places at the same time on the same segment. Due to which you see the segment load up on the 3rd lap which would basically be after the screen runs through the SLS results completely and then proceeds to load the next segment ( or in this case the same segment once more) 

  We sure do want to improve this implementation where you can ride the same segment multiple times. We have discussed this with our team and they will surely investigate and develop this further :)

  Hello Akhil,

  Any updates here? It's a very basic feature that has worked with my very first head unit with Strava segements.

  I live in NYC and train weekly at Central Park - it would be great to have every lap monitored by the segment.

  Hi @Akhil,

  I’m also wondering where the development team is with this important feature. Creating Strava segments are the industry standard and the Karoo should be able to detect each time you encounter it. Thank you
