Sensors disconnect when Karoo 2 left idle
Over the past few weeks I have noted that after coffee stops the power meter does not automatically recommence like all the other metrics.
Several times I have been down the road and had to stop. I have twice changed the batteries in my meter.
After disconnecting both Bluetooth and Ant+ and then reconnecting everything is fine. Until the next prolonged stop.
Is there a problem or do I have some setting mal-adjusted?

This problem has been going on forever:
https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/1260802892769-Loss-of-Power-meter-after-paus
Apparently they have no clue how to fix it. Very very frustrating.
I tried everything including a full factory reset.
It keeps dropping my sensors, (on 4 different bikes, with 4 different power meters, and 3 different HR straps.
Now either Hammeread admit that the hardware is faulty, or they can't put together a piece of working software. In both cases is it is embarrassing.

The work around for this is to put the gps on top of sensor list, then power speed cadence, I’m using powertap g3 and this fixed my issue with sensor failing to reconnect automatically, my only issue now is my speed going 100km/hr I’ve set my wheel to auto and manual size but still the same , speed erratically going crazy high.
There’s a new update, will be testing on weekend. -
With latest update, AND with putting the sensors at the top of the list, exactly the same issue, if anything far more easily disconnected!
stopped to fill up water bottle, maybe 3 minutes, power meter and GPS disconnect.
After going through the same motions to fully disconnect all sensors then re-connect, power meter message suggesting battery ( Stages crank) was low. But it is a 1 week old battery and isn’t low.
Could there be a setting which is faulty detecting of a low battery when there isn’t, and turning everything else off off to save charge?

I can confirm after riding 2.5hrs today, moving the gps on top of sensor list fixed my last issue of speed spikes going 100kms/hr,
My sensor list in order
GPS
Power meter/cadence
Speed
Heart rateWith the current update I can confirm the sensors doesn’t need to be reconnected manually as previously I had to which is very annoying and the 2nd issue was the speed spikes going crazy speed is now also fixed.
Just to tell everyone the I also did factory reset prior finding out the work around I posted above.
I hope hammerhead can iron out all the issues without the work around so people can finally enjoy their unit, I almost went back to garmin😂

I just bought and Edge 830 today after my K2 disconnected my radar mid-ride and I didnt notice it. I almost got creamed today. This is was my first cycling computer and I had (have) high hopes for it, but I'll not ride with it again until the reliability is MUCH better. I just wish this would have happened 2 weeks ago then I could have returned it. Still might ask for a return otherwise, it will sit in the box until they have a reliable product.

@Hari have you tried to do a search for "sensor drop" in the forum?
This same issue goes back more than a year: maybe you guys should look into how you prioritize these issues. In James case this is now a safety issue (is that why you're now doing something?)
I can tell you that taking my eyes off the road to troubleshoot the head unit is not safe at all, particularly if you're in a group ride and stopping means getting dropped.
Looking forward to see this behind us...

If anything its worse after the most recent software update. WhenI glance down at the head unit I will find it searching for sensors more than its displaying the data. Continual issue where it's showing data and then seems to just disconnect. Any pause whatsoever in the ride will also kick it into searching for sensors. It may be me, but I'd expect Froome and Le9ion might want consistent readouts......

Mines all good, it all reconnected once I started my profile and after a rest stop it also reconnected, powermeter, Speed (also no longer spiking to crazy speed) HR. I confirmed this last weekend & yesterday after a 3.5 hr ride.
Try to factory reset and put the gps on top of the sensor list.

Sadly I experienced this issue today - but with the added "bonus" that my trip also got deleted/aborted :-(
I was fixing a flat tire, and the Karoo 2 was probably outside of reach for my Heart rate monitor.
When I got near the computer again, it was just on the Frontpage, and all notion of the 41Km I had done so far was completely gone.I started a new activity and all fields (including speed from the GPS) just said "No sensors", and it remained like that for the rest of the trip.
Now it's in a state where it cannot connect to any sensors. The list of sensors (both Bluetooth and Ant) are empty. When I search for sensors it does show e.g. my heart rate belt, but if I try to connect it just goes into an infinite (well, I only waited 4 minutes, and decided it weren't going to connect) spinner saying "Connecting", but it never actually connects.
I assume I need to try a hard reset now - setting up my profile and everything again + I lost todays workout, as the first part got deleted, and for the rest of the trip no sensors were connected working, so not even speed/distance would work.
I'm running build-version 1.244.1103.12, and my "System is up to date".
