Karoo 2 v TACX Smart Trainer
Problem: Karoo 2 displaying erratic average speed/distance after a session on the turbo.
Trainer: TACX Satori SMART Trainer
Solutions tried so far: Disabling GPS in sensor array; switching between automatic/measured wheel circumference. Discussions with Hammerhead support (who cannot resolve the issue even after I sent the .fit files from the Garmin)
Description: The Karoo replaced my Edge 1030, which itself was an upgrade from a Lezyne. Both the Garmin & Lezyne worked faultlessly using the TAXC trainer. When you pair the Karoo (no issues here), then disable the GPS everything looks fine on the main display as you are spinning away. The numbers are within are the same as the Garmin (Speed. distance, cadence, watts).
When you end the ride on the Karoo the D=S/T calculation goes awry, my goto session is a 30-minute blast keeping my average to 20mph. This (without any trainer calibration) was never an issue for the Bryton, Lezyne or Garmin - The Karoo struggles, the 30-minute session tops out at 6.7 mph average with a virtual distance of 3miles.
... can anyone help, is anyone else having a similar issue?

I am having the same issues as Dave is having. Only mine trainer is the TACX Neo 2T. Garmin is spot on but Karoo is way off on distance. Speed looks to be good, but at the end of the ride using "Auto Calibration" I am out 7km's vs my Garmin 1030. I tried manual entry for tire size and it got a bit better but no matter where number I use its still off. I'm surprised no one else has brought this up

Hi,
I do have almost the same issue with my Elite Suito.
Managed to ride 483km in 1h30min...
If I could do that in real life i'd be winning TDF easily...
Average Speed being >300km/h....
Trainer circumfence is set to 2150mm in the trainer's app and on the Karoo2...
What's going wrong here?
Regards

Hi Ralf, We have found the speed issue to be a common one on the Elite trainers as discussed here: http://forum.elite-it.com/viewtopic.php?t=2531
It might require multiple calibration attempts on the app itself.
