Sensors don't drop, but start reading zero mid-ride
I believe this is issue was triggered by the addition of a heart rate monitor (Garmin HRM-Dual) rather than a recent update, but given the Karoo 2 woes with sensor connectivity over the past year, I was thrilled that my Magene speed and cadence sensors have been working almost flawlessly all summer.
Unfortunately after connecting the HRM this week, I'm getting the weird problem where the sensors will stay connected, but just start reading zero. After losing my cadence sensor readings a couple days ago, I replaced the battery and was able to get it working indoors, but it then gave out after 5-10 minutes on my ride this morning, followed by the speed sensor reading zero after about 25 minutes.
I don't know if this is a new problem or related to what the team is already working on, but I wanted to bring it up in case it helps to know that this issue is more likely to crop up when more sensors are connected.
That said, while I can be patient about troubleshooting connectivity issues (I can handle not seeing speed and cadence), I'm beyond frustrated at how the Karoo handles auto-pause -- having the Karoo stop recording my ride for no reason is of little help in fending off the "you should've gotten a Garmin/Wahoo" crowd.
Despite having seen it brought up in multiple threads here, I still haven't heard any explanation why a simple if-statement can't be added to fall back on GPS speed to determine whether to pause the ride or not -- it's getting the numbers, I'm clearly still moving, so why trigger a pause? I know people have suggested moving the GPS above the speed sensor in my sensor list, but then I'm not clear why I should bother using a speed sensor at all (does the sensor reading get used anywhere if I do this?).

I'll jump in here too. I have no sensors and have auto pause set to zero. I have the latest update I believe. Mid ride I am also dropping to speed zero but GPS is working fine and turn by turn keeps working. Both my last 2 rides this has happened on. I can sort it by powering down and restarting but that means all my rides are in multiple pieces.

Yeah, and just to update -- now despite just having two sensors again, my cadence sensor (which has the new battery in it) is dropping out again. Wonder if a recent update broke something that had been working well previously, as the only time I had any issues before this was in early spring of this year when I first got my Karoo 2.

This trend seems to play into my earlier post about my VARIA 315 showing paired and connected but the K2 giving no visual or audio alerts mid-ride. FWIW, I keep it second from the top of the sensors list (built-in GPS is the top). As an aside, I'm quite concerned that there appears to be a 'pecking order' to the sensor data when certain things require a higher position on that list than others. That seems like a lack of internal processing speed or in the old days of computer serial ports "interrupt servicing" priority.

Looks like the latest update solved the problem with my cadence sensor -- was able to drag my speed sensor above the GPS again without incident, hopefully it holds up!
I haven't tried the HRM again yet but will report back on it if I decide to do so before the end of the riding season.
