Bug: Newer routes won't load if older one is missing offline maps
AnsweredThis may be a pretty rare scenario, but I ran into a bug recently when I was planning for an upcoming trip to Ohio with my bike and loaded a route onto my Karoo 2. I then loaded a couple of one-way routes in New York, where I still was located, to ride first.
As I started my ride, I realized that my routes hadn't loaded. I figured it might be dodgy wi-fi where I was staying, so I tethered my phone and left it on for the ride (thankfully I had most of the route memorized). The routes never loaded.
I then realized that I had the route in Ohio further down the list, and of course I hadn't downloaded the offline maps there yet. So I used my tethered connection to do so on my way home, and all 3 routes finally loaded once that was done.
TL;DR if a route is missing offline maps, not only is there no notification or indication that is the reason why it's not loading, but it also affects other routes that don't have a dependency on those offline maps. Would be nice to load the routes that it can (and would be a bonus to add a note saying a route isn't loading because the offline maps aren't available).

Hi Mike, Thanks for sharing your experience. We would like to investigate the issue further. When we tested this from our end, the loading/syncing of Routes from the Dashboard to the unit is working as expected even the Offline map is not downloaded for that region.
If the issue is easily reproducible from your end, could you please share the exact reproducible steps of this issue? If possible, please capture a short video showcasing the issue and share the video link with us. This helps us to get a better understanding of the issue and gives you proper directions.
