Elevation not recording correctly during ride
AnsweredHi,
Does anyone know if the small holes on the back of the unit besides the battery compartment are where the head unit measures barometric air pressure?
I was out riding hills today on filthy weather and 1/2 way through the ride my elevation data stopped updating (it would occasionally change but nowhere near as much as I was climbing). Wondering if the Karoo 2 is occasionally prone to the same issues as my mate's Garmin where he has to blow rainwater out of a hole on his unit to rectify... I'd be nervous blowing into the hole for fear of forcing dirt further in.. Is there any other reason elevation data would stop recording properly mid-ride?
TIA

Hi Philip, yes the two holes at the back of the unit are for the beeper and pressure sensor. But we have not seen any case to date where they have been problematic on the rides, or when getting filled with rainwater. Nonetheless, we would like to investigate the issues with your ride. Could you please share the FIT file of your ride with us at support@hammerhead.io?
