Route map turning off

I was out for a ride today and a problem that occurred on another cold day happened; The route map and attached details re speed/ distance etc kept turning off . This was despite adequate battery power and auto save beng turned off . The last time this happened I was in the hills mode also and I wonder was too much data tripping something internally . Turning off the " Climber " information on setings did not stop the problem.
todays temperature approx 7 degrees celcius and dry
Any suggestions much appreciated as my thumb worn out switching the gadget on again !

Hi All,
I have already helped John resolve this - it is caused by a corrupt ride profile. In this case, there were 2 map pages in one of his profiles - this will cause an issue with rendering the map and may cause the ride profile to crash and go back to the home screen.
Deleting the ride profile that is causing the problem and creating a new one typically corrects this.
