GPX file send to me via Whatsapp, opening via Karoo-app?
AnsweredHello,
I started using the Karoo 2 a week ago, coming from a Garmin Edge Explore.
I have a question on uploading routes/GPX-files from Whatsapp.
When someone send me a GPX-file via Whatsapp and I click the file in Whatsapp, it proposes to open the file using Garmin Connect App (and as alternatives Komoot and c:geo, both apps also installed on my phone). I used to select Garmin Connect app, file opened, I saved it in Garmin Connect and was able to send it to my Garming bikecomputer directly. Easy!
I did install the Karoo-app and hoped that when clicking the file in Whatsapp, it would be proposed to open de file via Karoo-app and add it to the Karoo Dashboard, which would mean it appears on my Karoo 2 straight away.
But I don't get this option when selecting the GPX-file in Whatsapp!
Maybe it's something to correct on my phone (how?) or is it an option that the Karoo app does not offer?
Appreciate your reply!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Android. There must be info on YouTube etc. on how to save WhatsApp files on an Android phone, you might have to email it to yourself!
If you can find a way to save a file from any source (email, messenger etc.) then all you have to do is point your 'Add Route, Import' at it from a browser. You don't need any apps to open or view any files.
