Hello there. First of all, sorry for my english.
I would like to propose this request as I have seen many people (myself included) who want it in our Karoo 2.
First of all, I don't understand how the possibility of turning off rerouting doesn't come by default. ALL other bike gps have that possibility (garmin and Wahoo bolt v2.0/roam)
Advantages? I see two (minimum) very important:
1- Many of us only want to have the track on the screen, without anything else, for CERTAIN AREAS. We can get to that area on our own, by our own routes... but when we get to that new area, we follow the track, and then when we leave that area we continue on our own.
It doesn't make sense that for a large percentage of the route, the Karoo 2 is constantly trying to reroute non-stop.
2- As a result of point number 1, those of us who want rerouting disabled on certain routes will have a very large battery improvement, which is precisely one (if not the most) of the most critical points of Karoo 2. There are hundreds of posts in social networks and forums about the battery. If disabling rerouting helps the battery a lot, that would be a big help.
These two huge advantages can be realized simply with a "Rerouting On/Off" option. Sure it is very very simple to implement, and would help many people, for both points described above.
I hope you will consider it, as a small change can improve the experience for many in a big way.
Thanks in advance :)
