Karoo 2 turns off immediately after startup

When turning on the device it says ‘shutting down’ after the initial startup animation.

  Did you try to charge it? This sounds like the battery is depleted, causing the K2 to shutdown immediately after the restart.

  Hey Dennis,

  Sorry to hear about the issue with your unit.

  Could you please try trickle charging your unit? Let me share the steps for you:

  • Plugin the charger into the unit. Kindly use the provided charging cable.
  • Leave idle for a couple of minutes
  • Press the power ON button.
  • You should be able to see the charging animation on the screen
  • Check that there is no foreign material or moisture inside the USB-C port on the device.
  • Ensure that the unit and charging cable does not heat up after being plugged in for 30 seconds
  • Check whether pressing the power button shows a charging animation after 10 minutes, if not check after 1 hour.
