Add waypoint to in-ride route (e.g. place pin by searching for a street name)

Hi fellow HH riders,

yesterday, a friend called me during a ride and asked whether I'd like to drop by spontaneously on my way home (which would be the second part of the route I was currently navigating).

I was wondering, how to properly achieve this. I could use the Drop Pin and Navigation feature (https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360051734934-Karoo-2-Drop-Pin-and-Navigating-to-POIs) but then I'd need to find the spot via the map (which is quite inaccurate if you don't know where you are).

Therefore, is it also possible or planned to place a pin by searching for a street name to extend the current route? Of course, I could try to create a POI via the dashboard on my mobile phone, connect it via Wifi to the K2 to let it sync back but this would be quite cumbersome on the go!

Hi Jewl, it is not possible right now, but it is something that could be added via software update. I am adding your suggestion in our backlog for the product team to consider. Thanks!

This feature will be really welcome.

Many users have asked for this (including myself), but it doesn't seem HH has it high on the priority list.

I did not do my homework before I decided to buy the K2, and was unpleasantly surprised that the K2 does not offer "proper" navigation.

When I am on the way and want to navigate to a certain POI or address, I now use google maps on my phone. (and hold the phone in my hand, because I do not have a mount for it on my bike)

If I had known this beforehand, I would not have bought the K2
