Elevation is off compared to other gps

How to correct elevation problem. Went to a ride and my K2 was lower by 500+ feet. Two of friends used garmin and bryton and they got closer to what was specified on the ride. 
please advice what to do.

  My friends K2 sometimes records 800 ft more than my K2 on a big ride. Nothing you can do about it. Mine is nearer to Strava, they all produce different results.

  I had an issue where the way I had my K2 positioned on my bike, covered the 4 little holes on the back of the unit.  The holes are on the left and right of the circle cover for the sim card.  Once I freed those up, the elevation became a bit more accurate.  I believe they're barometric pressure sensors?
