Rain on Karoo vs Garmin 1040
I don't ride much in the rain (almost never, really), but I did have an experience a couple weekends ago on a long ride, with about 1/2 in the rain. I knew that the Karoo 2 has a rain lock, but was really dealing with other things, so I didn't engage it. Not only was the screen not usable until it dried out, but I also got some very out of range data (I've opened a ticket on this, FYI).
In contrast, it appears that the new Garmin 1040 is not phased by the rain. See this video from DC Rainmaker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1UQPQ8AQqk

@Mark Without wishing to derail the topic how do you find the naviagting aspects on the 1040 vs the Karoo 2? I've had to resort to my 530 becuase of the Di2 removal and I took 3 wrong turnings at a really complex junction, and had to restart the course when it flatly refused to see I was back on course. The K2 is SO much better than the 530 re the navigating side of things.
So how does the 1040 compare? Is turn by turn clear and route clear on the map?
Thanks in advance.
