Starting a Route from any point along the Route?

On an already-made route (like importing one from RWGPS or an already made route in Karoo, etc) can you "start" the route from anywhere on the route (say you live close to where the route passes by and would rather start there than drive/ride to the "official" starting point) and have the route/directions guide you all the away along the route and back to the point where you started it?

  Sort of, but not automatically. You can join the route at any point, but you will have to remove and reload the route at (after) the finish point.

  It seemed to me that the Karoo tries to navigate (red line) to the starting point. Does he stop that at any time?

  The red line should disappear (does for me, anyway) once you are on the route (after following it for something like 100–200 m).

  I have started routes at the midpoint of it, and even in the opposite direction, that is, start it halfway and continue in the opposite direction, and it works correctly. The Karoo 2 just waits for you to start pedaling to know the direction you have taken and it has worked well for me.

  Does "remove and reload the route at (after) the finish point." (@Anna Ronkainen) affect the recording of your ride?

  Not at all (unless you actually stop the ride), you can remove and activate routes as you please without affecting the recording at all. Open the command center, go to the route tab, select remove route, then select the same button again to add route, that’s it.
