Did you ever clean the heartrate band? You can simply wash it in the wash machine at low temperatures, for example together with your cycling gear.

I haven't tested the HH version , but the consumer level HRM are not consistent in their display , measurement or errors.

They CAN be decent as general monitors but neither the Polar , Wahoo, apple or Garmins are better than on target 60% of the time

It may do with how they calculate or the intervals they use.

I use measured pulse and evengot a chance to calibrate with a medical grade "Holter"

Was not impressed.. Not unexpected for a $50-125  item to not be comparable to FDA approved ones or those that cost x many $K.  Many find them useful. Me not so much

@Michiel I wash it after every workout and machine wash every week or so.
@Richard thank you. I was not aware of such limitations in this devices. I was convinced that in the past it was much more reliable than it is nowadays.

To the Hammerhead developers, is there any updates to the HRM? And if yes, how do one perform such?

It's possible that your Heart Rate strap is worn out and needs replaced. I usually replace mine when Heart Rate readings become erratic and a new strap always fixes it. Here is an article on maintaining your strap. https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/6267814180635-Hammerhead-Heart-Rate-Strap-Washing-guide

Thanks Johnny! I have it only for 1,5 year and have always followed the recommended washing procedure. Maybe I will raise a ticket.

I'm having the same problem.  Did you ever follow up with HH?  If so, what result?

    Hey Naran.

I have submitted a ticket for support and after some investigations I had my chest strap replaced.

    Thanks for the response.

    Did that solve the issues?

I experienced the same issues and after trying the following, it started working for me: With a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, swab out the receivers on the chest strap where the posts on the sensor snap in. Really get in there to wipe them clean. Hope this helps you as well.
