How to eliminate pin and POI function

How do I disable the pin and POI function on a Karoo 1? Lately, whenever I stop during a ride, the screen changes to a pin drop/POI (point of interest) function. Really not something I want to use, and its just another button I have to push which could screw up tracking a workout. Thank you

  It is not possible to disable this function, but it something that should not trigger on the ride stop. The POI screen shows up only when you long press on the screen or tap on the Pin icon from the control center. Could you record a short video of this behavior if this is easily reproducible on your device? Please share that with us in a ticket to support@hammerhead.io

  Ali, I have completed several rides since the comment and the POI function has not shown its ugly head, so I'll keep an eye out for it, but all is good right now. Thanks for the response.

  Wondering if it might have just been a matter of a drop of water or something else on the screen that the touchscreen interprets as a long press? Maybe next time this happens try wiping the screen clean (or use the rain lock function if it is raining)?

  +1 to disable this feature; anytime it rains or now in the winter, every once in a while I have a POI screen and it becomes so annoying. Please offer a way to disable this as it is not a common feature; I bought this to follow a route, I am not interested in setting up POIs, that is a niche and it is making the main function hard to use during rain or cold and using thick gloves.
