Offline Map Creation - Search for Destination (text search)

Hi Hammerhead,
is there in the meanwhile an update on the mentioned „offline map project“ that has been often mentioned in different community posts?
I am still lacking the ability when I am outside riding to quickly create a new route to navigate to a destination I search for (text input) that I haven‘t planned in my initial route (changed my mind during the ride).
I still do not understand why I need an Internet connection to do this as the offline map has been downloaded anyway to the device!
Do you have an update please whether this will be available in future? This would push the navigation experience to a different level!

I understand that has been a long request pending from our side but I assure you that we have forwarded your feedback to our team.
I really appreciate your input and I am agree that this will improve the rider's experience as being able to navigate offline will be a huge benefit for many riders.
We will prioritize this feature on Karoo 2 if we receive inputs from other riders too. As of now, this stays in our backlog pending for research and implementation.

A quick "Nav to Adress..." function would be wonderful (without having to plan a route; like the "Nav to Home" or "Nav to Start" function, but with text based search)
At the moment you can do it just online and only by creating a route with start-adress and target-adress...which is to complicated for a quick ride.

Yeah, this would be a nice feature, I posted a similar suggestion a while ago...Hammerhead marked it as "planned", see:
