Without stopping your active ride, you just need to remove the route (via the command centre) at the point where the original route ends and then reactivate the same route. If you are not already on the route when you start the ride, the unit will try to reroute you to the original start point, so in the beginning you may want to drop a pin at the point where you actually want to join the route (and then cancel that route once you’ve reached it, leaving the original route active).

Hi John, you can drop a pin by long tap on the maps screen. Check this article for detailed steps: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360051734934-Karoo-2-Drop-Pin-and-Navigating-to-POIs

thanks-  having a new problem-  when i select a route, the karoo 2 seems to get stuck at the "preparing route" stage-  i have a revolving circle of death, but the route never seems to load properly.

Hi John, Is that route longer than 500Kms? If so, I'd suggest breaking them into shorter 300-400km routes. if not, could you please share the GPX file with us at support@hammerhead.io?

so, another issue-  when following the route in geneva, i took a small detour (to see the view).   But the Karoo 2 then started constantly rerouting.

even when i was back on the original route, the Karoo 2 would reroute to the destination, and was often trying to take me OFF the original route that I had planned.

Is there anyway to avoid this?

John, this has been an issue reported recently and will be fixed in the next update.

thanks!  one very unrelated question-  any idea why i can't log into this support site on chrome?  if i try to do so, i get a "Forbidden, Invalid authenticity token" message.

the same log in details work fine on Edge

John, try logging in via Incognito mode and let me know if that works.
