Karoo Users can now create a route to a destination without Internet access.
Available in software versions 1.99.692.3 and above.
You can long-press on a location in the map view while riding to be directed to it. Internet connection is not required to do this and you can create an offline route. Turn by turn is shown through the ride on this route.
Only available when the user is riding without a route
Action prompts users to navigate
User can cancel the “route”
Routing / TbT follows a new color scheme, purple in this case.
Max limit is 100 miles from user location
How to create an offline route to a destination?
Step 1: Tap on the launcher, click on View ride or long press the rider icon to go inside the Ride App. (Do not add a route)
Step 2: Tap on the map to place a pin for the destination point. Is should be within 100 miles. Tap on the purple rider icon on the top of map to get an offline route created by Karoo.
Step 3: The new route can be seen in a purple line, and quickly dismissed by 'X' inside the red box.
Note: Users can continue the Ride (Activity with route) and then create a Route to destination with navigation prompts by Editing a ride and removing the route. How to edit a ride
