Karoo 2 reset to factory after charge
AnsweredSo, for the second time now, my Karoo 2 has started as a new unit on powering up. I'm on my bike, ready to ride with a group and I have to connect to wifi, log in to my account, and hopefully have time to at least download my state's map. This happened after fully charging it.
I tried to think if I've done anything different to cause this. I do remember once removing the device from the mount and accidentally pressing the buttons - coming from the Karoo 1, the button location on the new Karoo is vastly different. I briefly saw a screen of pages almost like an iPhone deck of browser tabs in Safari. Could something have happened?
What is the issue? I saw an older post referring to an AWS issue, but that was supposedly fixed 3 months ago.

It is possible to trigger a factory reset by pressing buttons B, C, and D together:

It would seem unlikely that you've held all three buttons down for long enough to cause this to happen but it's a possibility.

Yes, I think this is the standard Android app switching UI, kind of like the iOS one but more ugly and in vertical carousel format, rather than a horizontal carousel format.
Possibly worth raising a support case if your device is somehow going into factory reset mode by itself. Doesn't sound like an ideal situation to have occurring regularly. Could be a sticky button or something.

I don't actually get to see the reset, or maybe I'm not paying enough attention. I turn it on and finish a couple of things before getting on the bike, and it's sitting there like I just unboxed it and powered it up. Very frustrating considering I'm holding the ride up at that point
