    Hi Onno,

Sorry to hear that your Karoo is not turning on as intended. I can help you with this.

The unit being stuck in a boot loop is an issue that's rare but can be easily resolved.

Please leave the unit without charging till it runs out of battery and then charge it to 100%(Do not power ON). Once at 100%, remove the charging cable and turn it ON.

If this issue still persists, please try performing a hard reset on your Karoo and see if that helps.

Please keep me posted on this here. In this way, we can take the next course of action to sort this out for you.

    Hi Hari,

    Thanks for your answer.

I forgot to say I can turn it off (keep power button pressed) and boot to recovery or fastboot. I already did a hard reset but no luck either.
That's why I asked for the OTA. So I can load the firmware using recovery. Or if needed flash all images separately using fastboot.

I have created a support ticket and I request you to follow-up there. This will be more convenient to troubleshoot the issue.

My uniit is stuck in an endless reboot loop. It turns black and then the Hammerhead logo turns up. Then it turns black and round it goes.

I tried to hard reset the unit without success.

When I select Recovery mode menu by long-pressing the C-button and I never come to Recover menu. When I long-press the Hammerhead logo appears, partly covered by the previous boot menu.

Hi Hakan, Sorry for the trouble caused to you.

Not sure if you have already tried this. If not, could you please try this workaround? Please leave the unit without charging until it runs out of battery and turns off. The ideal goal is to reach a point where the Karoo doesn't turn ON after you doing multiple Power ON/OFF attempts. You may need to turn it off and turn it on a couple of more times to reach a point where the Karoo no longer turns ON. Then charge it to 100%(Do not power ON). Once at 100%, remove the charging cable and turn it ON.

Let me know if this works for you or not. In this way, we can take the next course of action.

I followed your suggestion and let the Karoo run out of battery. Then after recharging, it was fit for fight again!

I left mine over night. Then I charged it and it said 75% but it was probably a couple %. Tomorrow seems hard to achieve. Take a GPX and your mobile.

it booted up @ 62%, then the battery drained to 0% in about 10 mins. So now doing the 100% charge - really hoping it comes back to life.

It will come back to life. Having a big battery it takes a while though. I did some indoor intervals today with a workout from TrainingPeaks. It went well. Legs hurting!

I had the same issue of constant-rebooting and found it to be a hardware issue, the power button was stuck. I opened the charge cover to release it, after that the problem was gone.
