long routes can take sometime to process. Have you left the Karoo on for approx 15 mins?

Thanks for the tip Matt. The route is 473.5 miles ling, so it is quite long. I have tried leaving the Karoo on for approx 1 hour and route is still showing MAP UNAVAILABLE. One correction to my initial post. I have downloaded all 5 state maps (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut) and verified they all show as downloaded in Offline Maps.

Hi Troy. Sorry to hear that you are facing issues with the maps on Karoo. I can help you with this.

I have created a support ticket requesting to investigate the issue. I request your follow-up there.

I am having a similar problem. After having worked well it started showing MAPS UNAVAILABLE and a link that says Download Map, which goes to a variety of unrelated maps. I reset to factory settings and resigned in but the same problem occurs. I had to go to my Garmin 820 in order to do a ride. Help.

Please help.  I'm having this same issue.   Downloaded the 1.9mb tourdivide route for 2021.  It says "Map Unavailable".  Small files still open just fine.

I purchased my Karoo 2 back in April 2021 after switching from a Garmin 810 for many years.   Uploaded various routes in MA, NH & VT and had no issues using them.    Experience same problem noted in this thread when vacationing in Maine last week.   Uploaded several routes prior to going to Maine as GPX files.  Those routes worked fine.   However, while in Maine, I created new routes through Strava and uploaded as GPX files to my Karoo2.   I set out on of the routes and seemed to work fine for first 20 or so miles then suddenly,  the map was gone while I was on a fire road (grave ride).    I could no longer follow the planned route.   But, I could follow the local roads/trails and with the aid of my Iphone, managed to make my way back.    I downloaded the Maine "offline" map successfully.   (Indicates "downloaded" under "Maine").   Yet,  when loading the route it still shows as Map unavailable.    Fortunately, I had my garmin with me and used that instead for my remaining Maine rides.    Very frustrating.    Never had this issue with my Garmin 810.

Fast forward to yesterday, riding back in MA with no planned route and notice my map was not available on the display as I was riding.   That never happened before.    What gives?

I have the same problem. Downloaded the French Atlantic Coast "Velodyssey" gpx and have downloaded all necessary maps but still says "Map Unavailable"

Is there a solution to this? This is the first day with my new Karoo...

Hi Leon, the map unavailable can be seen when the route passes through regions not downloaded on Karoo. Now that region can be very small, and may not even show a county/state of where that route is. Consider the regions of Karoo's offline maps as square boxes, and if any of those boxes touches the places your route passes through - you will have to make sure it's downloaded on Karoo. You can send the GPX file to us and we can help you sort this out.
