    update:

the fit-file was properly imported into Golden Cheetah and also into Garmin Connect. So it appears as if there is something in the file that Strava cannot handle correctly...

Could (fortunately) not replicate the sync error. Instead properly uploaded training files over the past days, don't know exactly what the issue was on the first ride.

    cheers

I would request you to confirm if you Location was enabled while you were doing the Workout activity. It is recommended to turn off the GPS/Location where you are performing a workout as this will affect the calculations on STRAVA. Could you please perform a Workout after disabling the GPS and then try to upload it in STRAVA?

Also, it would be very helpful if you can send the FIT to support@hammerhead.io.

@Ali I have the same problem and it's related with the location. If I do not turn off the location, the workout session fail in the strava upload.

I have tested it disabling the location 2 minutes after start the workout session and the session uploaded to strava only show those 2 minutes.

What I don´t understand is why you don´t control that in any way to fix that issue. It should be easy to detect the situation and fix it because is a handicap when I forget to disable the location.

I'm going to send the fit file t othe email refered.

    Hi Aleks,

I have replied to your support ticket. Currently, you will need to manually disable GPS before an indoor workout for Strava to display it correctly. This is due to how Strava calculates the workout. We cannot change how Strava handles workout files, but we are looking at possible solutions to make the experience better when performing indoor workouts. Look for more on that in future updates!

For the file you mention with 2 minutes of GPS data, if you use a site like fitfiletools.com, you are able to remove the short section that has GPS data so that the rest displays correctly on Strava.
